Job summary

Four Seasons Hospice seeks a Hospice Medical Director to oversee the medical component of the hospice program, establishing clinical standards, monitoring quality of care, and supervising providers. The HMD collaborates with the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Clinical and Operations Officer to maintain clinical excellence.

The role includes daytime and after-hours coverage, participation in accreditation and regulatory processes, and leadership in medical staff activities to assure optimal

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
• Hospice and Palliative Medicine board certification or HMDC.
• Minimum three years of clinical practice.
• Minimum two years in a clinical leadership role.
• Experience in end-of-life care and public speaking.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership for hospice services and ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Supervise hospice providers and collaborate with leadership to improve care quality.
• Participate in certification, recertification, and decertification processes as needed.
• Oversee medical policies, documentation, and billing practices in hospice services.
• Provide on-call medical coverage as required for hospice patients.
