Qualifications

• Graduate of a credentialed school of Massage Therapy.
• Licensed in Ohio as a Licensed Massage Therapist.
• Minimum of one-year experience in massage therapy in a health care setting.
• Oncology Massage Therapy Certification is a plus, or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patient outcomes for massage therapy services.
• Coordinates care for all care settings (skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, home settings).
• Provides massage therapy for the agency population and clients upon referral and according to the plan of care.
• Works with the Interdisciplinary Group to determine objectives and goals.
• Documents massage therapy within the electronic medical record in a timely manner.
• Adheres to safety and infection control policies and participates in required in-services and training.
• Educates patients, families and communities on therapeutic massage therapy purpose in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team.
