Job summary

Ascend Hospice & Palliative Care MA in Lowell, MA is seeking a Hospice Marketing Liaison to drive patient admissions through education and relationship-building with hospitals, SNFs, physicians and community resources. You will generate referrals, conduct presentations, and promote Ascend's compassionate care across the community.

The role requires travel within the service area, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with an interdisciplinary team to advance palliative care

Qualifications

• Experience in marketing, preferably hospice or other healthcare environment.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to create own leads.
• Able to maintain an organized territory management with limited supervision.
• Able to work as part of an inter-disciplinary team.
• Able to promote the Hospice philosophy to referral sources.

Responsibilities

• Generate business by creating new and maintaining existing relationships with physicians and other medical professionals, community and senior organizations, hospitals, appropriate special interest groups, discharge planners, nursing home professionals, assisted living facilities, and other potential referral sources.
• Prepare and conduct calls and In service presentations to potential referral sources.
• Participate in community and organizational programs, making presentations and joining as a member where appropriate, to facilitate a broader knowledge of the Hospice philosophy and to promote Ascend's services.
• Promote an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and well-being of all patients.
• Promote positive public relations with patients, family members, and healthcare providers.
• Serve as a resource both internally and externally by supporting the mission and vision and vision of the organization, particularly as it applies to palliative and end of life care.

The Hospice Marketing Liaisonwill be responsible for facilitating patient admissions to Hospice via marketing and education activities with contracted and potentially contracted hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, respite centers, physician, and other community resources. Some of the specific job duties include, but are not limited to:
