Job summary

Preferred Hospice of Missouri is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our team in Ozark, MO. You will assist patients, families, and caregivers with end-of-life needs, perform daily assessments and vital signs, and provide compassionate nursing care and education.

The role includes mileage reimbursement and full-time benefits. We value experienced LPNs and are willing to train the right candidate in hospice regulations, medications, and charting while maintaining a patient-centered

Qualifications

• Must be currently licensed as an LPN in Missouri.
• Live within a commutable distance to the Ozark office.
• Reliable transportation and car insurance required.
• Experience preferred, but we can train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient, family and caregiver in coping with death and dying.
• Perform head-to-toe assessment and vital signs for daily visits.
• Occasionally provide personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Communicate effectively with hospice staff and provide support as needed.
• Provide nursing care, symptom management and emotional support.

Job description

We are a well-established hospice company looking to add to our team. Preferred Hospice has 5 offices across the state of Missouri, serving over 65 counties.

We are currently looking for experienced Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team in Ozark, MO.

The LPN will:

• Assist the patient, family and caregiver in coping with issues related to death and dying.
• Perform head-to-toe assessment and vital sign check on all assigned patients for the day.
• Occasionally provide personal care, bathing, dressing, etc to the patient.
• Communicate effectively with all hospice staff and provide all support as needed.
• Provide nursing care, symptom management, and emotional support to the patient, family, and caregivers.
• Provide education to the patient, family, and caregivers.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must be currently licensed in the State of Missouri as an LPN and live within a commutable distance to the office.

Reliable transportation and car insurance required.

Hourly rate and mileage reimbursement provided. Recent company-wide increase in mileage benefit!

Benefits available for Full Time.

Documentation per electronic medical record, mileage computation per phone app.

Experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person! We can teach you hospice regulations, medications, and charting. We are looking for nurses who know how to love and provide hands-on care to patients facing a terminal illness.
