Job summary

Regional Hospice of Missouri in Lebanon, MO is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join our compassionate team. The LPN will provide nursing care, symptom management, and emotional support to patients and families, perform daily assessments, and collaborate with hospice staff to ensure comfort and quality of life.

Must hold a Missouri LPN license, live within a commutable distance, have reliable transportation and car insurance.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred; we are willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient, family, and caregiver in coping with issues related to death and dying.
• Perform head-to-toe assessment and vital signs for assigned patients.
• Provide personal care as needed (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Communicate effectively with hospice staff and provide support as needed.
• Provide nursing care, symptom management and emotional support to patient and family.
• Provide education to patient, family, and caregivers.

Job description

We are a well-established hospice company looking to add to our team. Regional Hospice has 3 offices covering the southwest corner of Missouri---Lebanon, Springfield, and Joplin.

We are currently looking for experienced Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team in Lebanon, MO.

The LPN will:

• Assist the patient, family and caregiver in coping with issues related to death and dying.
• Perform head-to-toe assessment and vital sign check on all assigned patients for the day.
• Occasionally provide personal care, bathing, dressing, etc to the patient.
• Communicate effectively with all hospice staff and provide all support as needed.
• Provide nursing care, symptom management, and emotional support to the patient, family, and caregivers.
• Provide education to the patient, family, and caregivers.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must be currently licensed in the State of Missouri as an LPN and live within a commutable distance to the office.

Reliable transportation and car insurance required.

Hourly rate and mileage reimbursement provided. Benefits available for Full Time.

Documentation per electronic medical record, mileage computation per phone app.

Experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person! We can teach you hospice regulations, medications, and charting. We are looking for nurses who know how to love and provide hands-on care to patients facing a terminal illness.
