Job summary

Regional Hospice of Missouri is seeking CNAs to support patients in the Joplin area. The role involves delivering compassionate personal care and working with an interdisciplinary team to follow care plans.

Flexible scheduling is required, with hours primarily Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, plus occasional after-hours needs. Applicants must hold a current Missouri CNA license and be proficient with EMR charting on a smartphone or computer.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, active Missouri CNA license.
• Computer and smartphone skills for EMR charting and mileage apps.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care to hospice patients.
• Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team (nurses, social workers, chaplains, physicians, volunteers).
• Follow the comprehensive nursing care plan as directed by the RN.
• Protect patient and caregiver privacy and rights at all times.
• Maintain a professional, courteous attitude toward clients and facility staff.
• Make visits to patients in private homes, SNFs, ALFs, or hospitals.
• Document all visits promptly in the EMR.
• Provide caregiver relief and sit with patients during end-of-life hours.

Regional Hospice of Missouri - We are a well-established hospice company looking to add to our growing team!! Regional Hospice has 3 offices covering the southwest corner of Missouri--Lebanon, Springfield, and Joplin.

We are currently looking for CNAs to work out of the Joplin office. Prefer Full Time but will consider PT or PRN. Benefits available for FT.

We are looking for CNAs who can provide superior personal care to patients facing a terminal illness, as well as sitting with patients when needed for caregiver relief and/or through the last hours of life. Flexibility with scheduling is a must.

The Hospice CNA is an integral part of the Interdisciplinary Team and will perform the following duties:

• Works closely with nurses, social workers, chaplains, physicians, and volunteers to provide high quality hospice care.
• Provides high quality personal care to patients facing a terminal illness.
• Follows through with the comprehensive nursing care plan as instructed by the RN.
• Protects and respects patient and caregiver rights and privacy at all times.
• Displays pleasant, courteous, professional attitude toward clients, general public, and nursing home staff at all times.
• Makes visits wherever the patient resides---private home, skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility, hospital.
• Document all visits in the electronic medical record in a timely fashion.
• Sits with patients for caregiver relief and through the last hours of life.
• Work hours are primarily Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with some after hours needs from time to time. Flexibility with scheduling and hours a must.

Skills and Education Needed:

Must have a current, active CNA license in the state of Missouri.

Computer and smart phone skills for EMR charting, email, apps for mileage computation, etc.

Hourly rate plus mileage reimbursement with recent company-wide increase in mileage.
