Job summary

Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) in San Francisco, CA seeks an Interim Nurse Manager, Hospice for a W2 contract. 13-week assignment with high likelihood of extension; schedule 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.

The role leads 24-hour departments, ensures quality, and manages budgets while ensuring compliance with Nursing Practice Act and regulations. Requires BSN or BA and CPR, with about 5 years of nursing leadership experience.

Qualifications

• BSN or BA in health care related field strongly preferred.
• CPR certificate required.
• Extensive nursing experience in both patient care and management/leadership roles (about 5 years).
• Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other regulations.
• Previous supervisory experience (usually 4 years).

Responsibilities

• Manage 24-hour departments providing patient care services.
• Ensure staff provide high quality, accessible, cost effective care and patient-focused services.
• Develops and maintains clinical standards of care and practice; responsible for budgeting and development.
• Oversee and develop budgets for human and material resources.
• Ensure compliance with Nursing Practice Act and relevant regulations.
• Monitor and improve quality of care and service across the continuum.
