Job summary

Heather's House seeks a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our hospice inpatient unit in Fargo. The CNA will provide personal care, monitor vitals, assist with meals, and help maintain a comforting environment under the patient’s plan of care.

Experience in hospice or home health is preferred; must be able to work evenings with every other weekend. A full benefits package is offered to eligible employees including health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• One year patient care experience in a health care setting; hospice or home health experience preferred.
• Ability to be flexible and effectively manage priorities, multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work with and communicate effectively with terminally ill patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services to hospice patients as directed by the patient’s plan of care.
• Assist with nutritional needs and provide comfort care.
• Safely transferring patients and taking vital signs; charting and reporting to the IDG.
