Job summary

Avow in Naples, FL, seeks a housekeeping team member to clean patient rooms, offices, and common areas at Georgeson Hospice House. The role includes managing linens, waste, and biohazards while following safety standards and company policies.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, English language skills, and basic computer/Outlook abilities. A Florida driver’s license is preferred; ServSafe Certification within 90 days is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer skills including database software and general knowledge of e-mail/Outlook.
• Language skills: reading, writing and speaking English.
• Mathematical skills including percentages/fractions.

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient rooms, baths, offices, halls, kitchen and other areas.
• Washes beds and mattresses and remakes beds after discharges.
• Disposes of Bio-Waste and sharps containers in the appropriate biohazard area.
• Sets up standard procedures for housekeeping cart and equipment.
• Follow safety regulations and nutrition-related follow-ups as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
