Job summary

Anchor Health is seeking a Hospice Aide to join the care team and provide essential personal support under RN supervision. You will help meet patient needs and promote comfort through direct care tasks and compassionate interactions.

The role requires CNA and HHA licenses, strong communication with patients and families, and adherence to confidentiality and professional standards. Salary offers up to $28/hr based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must have both CNA and HHA license in good standing.
• Experience delivering personal care and patient comfort support.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care needs as assigned and respond to patient requests promptly.
• Provide respectful communication with patients and families, maintaining confidentiality.
• Assist with bathing, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linen as needed.
• Assist in dressing and undressing patients as assigned.
• Respect patient and family environment while addressing personal needs.

The hospice aide is a paraprofessional member of the interdisciplinary group who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient's personal needs and to promote comfort.

Requirements

• * Must have both a CNA and HHA license *
• 1. The Hospice Aide performs personal care needs after given a patient's assignment and attending to his/her requests promptly. If unable to perform a certain task, report to the Case Manager immediately.
• 2. Providing patient and family with positive communication techniques, within realm of ethical and respectful care, including confidentiality.
• 3. Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linen as often as assigned.
• 4. The Hospice Aide assists in dressing and undressing patients as assigned.
• 5. Respectful of patient and family/caregiver environment and patient's personal needs.

Salary range - up to $28/hr based on experience
