Job summary

Anchor Health is seeking a Hospice Aide to join our interdisciplinary team under RN supervision. The role focuses on meeting patients' personal care needs to promote comfort and dignity in a compassionate home or facility setting.

Candidates must hold valid CNA and HHA licenses and demonstrate respectful, confidential communication with patients and families. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CNA license and HHA license.
• Experience providing personal care and comfort to patients.
• Able to communicate with patients and families respectfully.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linen as assigned.
• Assist in dressing and undressing patients as assigned.
• Provide care with confidentiality and respect, communicating with the patient and family.
• Report to Case Manager if tasks cannot be completed.

The hospice aide is a paraprofessional member of the interdisciplinary group who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient's personal needs and to promote comfort.

Requirements

• The Hospice Aide performs personal care needs after given a patient's assignment and attending to his/her requests promptly. If unable to perform a certain task, report to the Case Manager immediately.
• Providing patient and family with positive communication techniques, within realm of ethical and respectful care, including confidentiality.
• Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linen as often as assigned.
• The Hospice Aide assists in dressing and undressing patients as assigned.
• Respectful of patient and family/caregiver environment and patient's personal needs.

Must have both a CNA and HHA license
