Job summary

Ascend Health in New Jersey is seeking a NJ Director of Business Development to lead hospice marketing and education initiatives across the assigned region, aligning strategy with company goals.

You will develop and maintain marketing plans, manage and motivate the Hospice Marketers/Community Education Liaisons, expand new business, represent the company at community events, coordinate promotional activities, and participate in strategic planning and performance improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the development and maintenance of the marketing and education plan.
• Effectively manages and motivates Hospice Marketers/Community Education Liaisons.
• Develops new business and expands existing business throughout assigned areas.
• Represents Company at community organizations' events and business functions.
• Provides hospice in-service programs to hospital and skilled nursing facility staff, physicians, community groups and other as directed.
• Coordinates all marketing and promotional activities, including meeting and traveling with other marketing department personnel and Administrators.
• Visits facilities for Service Review meetings, in-service educational programs, and Quality Assurance as needed.
• Projects Hospice philosophy of care and advocacy for the patients and families.
• Projects Hospice philosophy and goals in all job-related roles.
• Participates in staff development activities, Hospice program meetings, and attends off-site conferences as needed.
• Participates in strategic planning meetings and is instrumental in developing monthly, quarterly and annual sales budgets.
• Maintains awareness of regulatory requirements which impact marketing efforts and goals of the Hospice.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
