Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking an experienced RN to provide direct patient care under general supervision. An Associate degree in Nursing is required, with a BSN preferred. A Bachelor’s degree must be completed within 3 years of start date.

At least 2 years of clinical experience is preferred, especially in long-term care, hospice, palliative, or home care. Applicants must have strong English communication, documentation, and nursing care planning skills.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required within 3 years of start date.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in long term care, hospice, palliative, or home care.
• Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Interpersonal skills to educate and comfort patients and families; maintain documentation and coordinate with hospital staff.
• Licensure: Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Use Nursing Process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and reassess patient care.
• Develop and update written nursing plan of care and coordinate with care team.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments; respond to emergencies as needed.
• Coordinate daily patient care priorities and supervise support staff.
• Educate patients and families; participate in quality improvement and discharge planning.
