Job summary

Holland Home's Faith Hospice seeks a Maintenance Technician for the Trillium Woods Inpatient Hospice in Byron Center, MI. The role maintains safe, welcoming facilities while supporting patients, families, and staff in a compassionate setting.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, with on-call rotation and 1st shift responsibilities. Strong maintenance skills and a valid Michigan license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Michigan driver's license and vehicle liability insurance required.
• Reliable means of transportation required.
• Prior maintenance experience in a caregiving environment valued.
• Technical maintenance skills necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of facility systems (air handling, plumbing, electrical, cleaning).
• Conduct preventive maintenance and respond to deficiencies per work orders.
• Read and record meter readings for electrical and boiler systems.
• Assist with room set-ups and snow removal as needed.
• Ensure safe environment for residents and staff; follow safety practices.
• Operate CMMS or written work request system for tasks.
• Supervise and guide assigned staff and review work.
• Report malfunctions and partake in regulatory testing.
