Job summary

Unity Hospice seeks a Float B Registered Nurse for the NOC shift to provide skilled nursing care across Triage, Unity Hospice Residence, and Community settings from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. This part-time role (0.6 FTE) includes every other weekend, 10–15 on-call shifts per year, and 1–2 holidays.

Excellent documentation and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams are essential. Qualifications include an ADN (BSN preferred), WI RN license, and a valid WI driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• RN license in the state of practice required (WI).
• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing assessment and intervention.
• Update plan of care and review with patient/family.
• Respond to urgent patient/family needs with triage staff.
• Initiate crisis care as needed.
• Report findings to primary team and physician.
• Educate patients and families on disease progression and care.
• Administer and titrate medications per orders.
• Record orders in EMR and follow up.
• Prioritize daily work and coordinate with Unity team.
• Delegate duties to LPN and supervise CNA.
• Complete new patient admissions as needed.
