Job summary

Interim HealthCare is hiring a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Madison, WI team. This full-time role offers daytime hours with no nights or weekends, plus mileage reimbursement for travel between patient visits.

As a Hospice CNA you will care for seniors with serious illness, assist with daily activities, monitor vitals, and work with a team to follow the patient’s care plan. Wisconsin CNA certification and CPR are required; a valid driver's license and transportation are needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA).
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Compassionate, good communicator with the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Care for seniors and those with an illness, injury or chronic disease who have six months or less to live.
• Assist with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, eating and nutrition.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises.
• Check vitals, monitor intake/output, monitor blood glucose and document changes.
• Collaborate with Hospice nurses and aides to ensure the care plan is followed and report changes as needed.
