Job summary

Hospice of the North Coast is seeking a compassionate CNA to join the care team for per diem night shifts (8:00pm–8:30am), mainly weekends with about two shifts weekly. The role focuses on comfort, hygiene, and safety for terminally ill patients and supporting their families.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and current state certification; hospice orientation or additional training is preferred. A valid driver’s license and clean background are required, with benefits highlighted.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Current State CNA certification; pallative care hospice aide is desired.
• Experience as a hospice aide or completion of hospice orientation/training preferred.
• Ability to read, write and verbally report clinical information to patients, caregivers, and hospice staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to terminally ill patients.
• Maintain patient hygiene and a safe, healthy environment.
• Offer respite and relief for primary caregivers.
