Job summary

Ecumen Hospice-St Cloud is hiring a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support clients in the St. Cloud area. Shifts are 8am-4:30pm, bi-weekly 48 hours, with no weekends or holidays, and includes benefits such as PTO, sick time, and 401k with 6% match.

As a CNA, you will follow individualized care plans, assist with ADLs, monitor vitals, and report changes to the RN, while maintaining safety and dignity for residents in home and community settings.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant certificate.
  • Valid Driver's License, proof of insurance and satisfactory motor vehicle record.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Able to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with ADLs per care plan (dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, toileting, ambulation, transferring).
  • Provide ADL care and monitor vital signs; perform ROM exercises with dignity.
  • Respond to safety hazards and reassignment of duties.
  • Report changes in patient's condition to the nurse.
  • Report concerns regarding patients, families and staff to appropriate personnel.
  • Accurately complete required documentation.
  • Collaborate with team in a busy community setting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Nursing Assistant, CNA is responsible for providing personal care and designated health-related services as outlined in the clients care plan. This position is responsible for following the direction of the nursing staff by following the individualized care plan for the clients they care for.

Opportunity Details
  • Schedule: Part-Time 48 hrs bi-weekly Weekdays 8am-4:30pm - No weekends and no Holidays
  • This position would support the St. Cloud area.
  • Pay: The targeted pay range for this job is $21.50 - $24.00 per hour.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  1. Assists with treatments and activities of daily living per individualized care plan including:
    • Dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, toileting, ambulation, transferring;
    • Assists with AM and HS cares including oral care as needed;
    • Incontinence care;
    • Assistive devices, glasses and hearing aids;
    • Medication administration as delegated by the RN
  2. Provides physical care to residents according to established procedures and performance standards including Activities of Daily Living (ADL's). Monitors vital signs and providing Range of Motion exercises in a manner that encourages independence and dignity. Assists with adaptive equipment.
  3. Responds appropriately to all safety hazards, requests and reassignment of duties.
  4. Reports changes in patient's physical condition, behavior and level of independent functioning to the nurse.
  5. Reports pertinent information and concerns regarding patients, families, and staff to appropriate personnel.
  6. Accurately completes required documentation.
  7. Partners effectively with others in a demanding and changing environment, supports all team members within the community as directed by the Registered Nurse.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Driving Requirements

Local Travel and Driver's License Required

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Certified Nursing Assistant certificate
  • Valid Drivers License, proof of insurance and satisfactory motor vehicle record
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
  • Able to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • One year experience as a CNA
  • Experience working with Seniors
