AccentCare is seeking a Hospice Aide / CNA in Farmington, CT to join a compassionate, patient-centered team. The role offers full-time hours, daytime schedule, and a supportive environment focused on high-quality end-of-life care.

You will provide hands-on personal care, monitor comfort, assist with mobility, and maintain safety and dignity in clients' homes or care facilities. Requires state CNA certification and a reliable driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be a state-certified nurse’s aide with successful completion of required training and a passing score on the agency’s competency exam; requirements vary by state.
• CPR certification required for direct patient care where applicable.
• Must be listed on the state aide registry with a clear record and eligible to provide care in homes, nursing facilities, or hospitals.
• Requires a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and state-required auto insurance.

Responsabilités

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to hospice patients, including personal hygiene assistance and mobility support (up to 200 lbs with assistance).
• Support patients in their homes or care facilities through walking, standing, and daily activities, maintaining dignity and safety.
• Monitor comfort levels, respond to needs, and assist with daily living activities while upholding infection control protocols.
• Work in home and facility settings, adapting to conditions and ensuring patient safety and dignity.
