Job summary

Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care in Colorado Springs is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. The CNA provides quality supportive care within hospice, palliative, or home care settings, following the Plan of Care under the RN and collaborating with the Interdisciplinary Team to promote comfort and dignity for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year CNA experience desired (hospice preferred). New Graduates accepted.
• Required License: Current Colorado CNA license. Valid Colorado driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care based on the Plan of Care established by the RN Case Manager and/or assigned RN.
• Communicates with the Case Manager regarding Plan of Care and urgent needs.
• Assists with ambulation, ROM, positioning, turning and transfers.
• Takes and records vital signs and reports changes to licensed staff.
• Provides personal care including bathing, peri-care, oral hygiene, nail care and dressing.
