Job summary

Gentiva is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide direct, hands-on care in patients’ homes, facilities, or inpatient units. You will support personal care, mobility, meals, and emotional well-being while maintaining safety and documentation of visits.

The role requires an active CNA license, CPR certification, a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation, and at least 6 months of direct patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in the state of employment (Required).
• Current CPR certification (Required).
• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance (Required).
• Six (6) months of direct patient care experience (Required).
• Comfortable working in home settings, hospice facilities, or long‑term care environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Support safe mobility with walkers/wheelchairs.
• Help with meals and light housekeeping.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition and provide emotional support.
