Job summary

Homeland Hospice in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a compassionate Certified Nurse Aide to join our team on a part-time weekend schedule. You’ll provide direct patient care and light housekeeping for terminally ill patients in home or facility settings under RN supervision, with an emphasis on dignity and empathy.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• Minimum of 1 year direct patient care experience in institutional or home care setting.
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary setting.
• Understanding Hospice philosophy and needs of terminally ill.
• Completion of an approved hospice aide training program or state-certified nurse aide/home health aide program with current certification.
• Passing score on a written competency test per 42 C.F.R. § 484.36.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and light housekeeping to terminally ill patients in various settings per care plan.
• Act as a member of the Hospice IDT and follow the plan of care.
• Observe, report, document observations and services timely.
• Maintain documentation according to the patient care plan.
