Job summary

Legacy Hospice is seeking a full-time Hospice Aide (CNA) to deliver compassionate in-home care in Charlottesville. You will work with the nursing team to meet physical, emotional, and personal needs with dignity and respect.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, PTO, holidays, tuition assistance, and a 401(k) match. Must have CNA certification, CPR if required, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Current unencumbered CNA certificate required.
Minimum one year CNA experience in acute or long-term care; hospice experience a plus.
CPR certification required if state-mandated.
Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Provide personalized care following the care plan to ensure patient comfort and wellbeing.
Assist with personal care including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampooing.
Demonstrate exceptional customer service and support for patients and families.
Provide family support by sharing knowledge and guiding care for terminally ill loved ones.
Maintain accurate documentation in patient charts, agency records, and regulatory standards.
