Job summary

Advanced Home Health and Hospice in Lewiston, Idaho is seeking a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate care for terminally ill patients under RN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and document care to support quality of life at end of life.

The role supports multiple schedules including full-time and part-time, Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with mileage reimbursement offered.

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state where work is performed.
• 2+ years experience in hospice or end-of-life care preferred.
• Strong clinical skills with sensitivity and compassion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming and dressing.
• Help with mobility and transfers for patient safety and comfort.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to supervising nurse.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to follow patient care plans.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and families.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding respecting dietary needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and infection control.
• Accurately document care with date/time for insurance and quality purposes.
• Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and agency policies.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing hospice training.
