Job summary

Olathe Health Hospice House is seeking a patient-focused Certified Nursing Assistant to assist Hospice House patients with activities of daily living under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. You will help implement the plan of care and support patients and families in comfort and safety.

The role requires completion of a CNA program, a high school diploma, and 1+ year of experience, with preference for hospice experience. This is a part-time, on-site position at our Hospice House facility.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Program
• High School Graduate
• 1+ years of experience

Responsibilities

• Provides direct personal care for hospice patients as guided by care plan from Registered Nurse.
• Reports unexpected clinical findings to RN immediately.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients including infection control.
• Effectively manages patient pain and comfort within scope of practice.
• Completes all documentation consistent with regulatory guidelines and department policies.
