Job summary

Hospice of North Alabama, based in Florence, AL, seeks a dedicated Hospice CNA to join our compassionate team. You will provide 1:1 patient care, support families, and work within a structured, supportive environment that values empathy and professionalism.

The role offers flexible scheduling, opportunities for advancement, and exposure to a full spectrum of hospice services in a community setting. Prior CNA experience and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Meet the training requirements of the state of practice.
• Minimum of six months experience including personal care.
• Must be 18+ years old and CPR certified.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care.
• Understand hospice philosophy and work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Personal care: bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility and positioning.
• Monitor and report changes in the patient’s condition.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and ROM; ensure equipment safety.
• Medication assistance with self-administered meds per state rules.
• Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families.
• Light housekeeping, meals, and maintaining a tidy space.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary team.
