Job summary

Brighton Hospice is hiring a caring and dependable Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patients with personal care and daily living needs in their homes or facilities. This is a Monday-Friday, flexible scheduling position with both part-time and full-time options.

College or class schedules can be accommodated for the right candidate. Qualified CNAs must have a valid license in the state(s) of practice and a commitment to compassionate end-of-life care, with opportunities for

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to improving quality of life while partnering with community organizations in patient care.
• Ability to work well within a team environment to collaborate with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and aide leadership.
• Eager to gain higher level of opportunities such as certifications and further education.
• Work closely with patients on a 1-1 level but get strong support from a patient care team; able to work independently.
• Must be willing to drive with reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state(s) of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living assistance to patients in homes or facilities.
• Support patients in daily activities and comfort measures as part of a care plan.
• Collaborate with nurses and other clinicians to deliver compassionate end-of-life care.
• Document care provided and report changes to the care team.
