Job summary

Trinity Hospice in Texas is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide in-home patient care across Irving, Arlington, Fort Worth and surrounding areas. You will assist with ADLs, monitor patient conditions, and report changes to the supervising RN while maintaining a respectful, safe home environment.

The role emphasizes infection control, effective communication with families, and reliable transportation to client homes.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as Hospice Aide or CNA in a hospital, home health, hospice, or long-term care setting.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with valid auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN direction and according to the Aide Plan of Care.
• Assist with ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility support.

• Communicate respectfully with patients, families, and staff.
• Support proper nutrition and adequate fluid intake for patients.

Job Summary:

The primary function of the Hospice Aide - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to provide personal healthcare and related services to the patient in their place of residence; to assist in providing a safe and clean environment, work cooperatively with patient and family and share observations and problems with the supervisor.

Essential Functions:

• Provide direct patient care to patients under direction of the RN and according to the Aide Plan of Care.
• Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility support.
• Provide necessary skill to appropriately report changes and document pertinent information and care rendered to patients to ensure continuity of care.
• Practice accepted infection control principles.
• Promote positive, supportive, respectful communication to patient/family and other employees.
• Provide an environment which promotes respect for patients, privacy and property.
• Provide skills necessary to assist the patient with proper nutrition and adequate fluid intake.
• Contribute to the management and efficient operation of the agency and demonstrate effective time management skills.
• Provide skills necessary to perform treatments and procedures according to agency policy.

Education, Experience, and Certifications Needed:

• At least one year experience, preferably as a Hospice Aide or Nursing Assistant in a hospital, nursing home, home health agency, hospice, or long term care facility or completion of Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aide Program.
• Must have current driver’s license, and reliable transportation with a valid and current auto liability insurance
