Job summary

Northern Arizona Hospice, part of the UnitedHealth Group family, seeks a Clinical Director to assist the Executive Director in clinical oversight, patient eligibility, and staffing. Build regulatory compliance, cost-effective operations, and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include leading training, overseeing patient care, and coordinating with physicians to uphold standards of care in hospice services. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered with full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Current Driver's License and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• 3+ years of experience in a hospice, home health, or other health care service delivery system setting.
• 2+ years of healthcare leadership

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the agency including training and orientation, regulatory compliance, interdisciplinary group effectiveness, growth, and education regarding hospice services.
• Directs patient care activities to ensure compliance with current standards of nursing and medical practice and regulatory standards.
• Promotes hospice education to referral sources and the community at large.
• Works with hospice physicians and community physicians to drive clinical excellence for patients facing end-of-life.
• Provides clinical oversight and supervision according to licensure type, scope of practice, and state regulatory guidelines.
• Participates as a member of the hospice agency Governing Body and facilitates Governing Body meetings as needed.
• Oversees hospice billing processes to ensure compliance with regulations and reflect patient care.
• Ensures adequate staffing through recruitment and retention activities.
• Reviews monthly financials and cost management reports with the Executive Director to ensure cost-effective patient care.
• Oversees quality assurance and performance improvement activities within the agency.
