Del Corazon Hospice in Santa Fe, NM seeks a dynamic Hospice Director of Nursing (RN required) to lead operations, drive census growth, ensure regulatory compliance, and cultivate a high-performing team from our Santa Fe office.

The clinical director will oversee overall leadership, finances, and patient care outcomes in a fast-paced, growth-oriented setting. This role requires strong leadership and a proven track record in hospice management.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible to serve as Clinical Director in New Mexico.
• RN License.
• 2-3 years hospice leadership experience (DON, Executive Director, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and compliance standards.
• Proven track record of census growth and operational leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall clinical leadership and daily operations management for the hospice agency.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards (CHAP, Medicare, NM regulations).
• Drive census growth through strategic referral development and community relationships.
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and operational efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and develop interdisciplinary team members.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.
• Monitor KPIs, quality metrics, and implement performance improvement initiatives.
• Maintain strong relationships with referral sources, hospitals, SNFs, and community partners.
• Ensure readiness for surveys and audits.

This role ensures regulatory compliance, financial performance, census growth, and exceptional patient care outcomes.
