Job summary

Qualifications

• Ordination or recognized chaplaincy certification.
• Experience in pastoral counseling and grief support in healthcare settings.

• Ability to make independent decisions and maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized pastoral counseling and grief support to patients and families.
• Conduct spiritual assessments and develop care plans aligned with patients' beliefs and values.
• Offer crisis intervention and psychotherapy support as needed.
• Manage and coordinate volunteer chaplaincy programs.
• Advocate for patient rights and ensure spiritual needs are respected.
• Develop and implement programs promoting spiritual wellness and community engagement.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate pastoral care into treatment and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation of pastoral care activities and patient interactions.
• Make independent decisions regarding provision of spiritual care within ethical and organizational guidelines.
