Job summary

Three Oaks Hospice, Inc. is seeking a Chaplain to provide compassionate spiritual care in the home for terminally ill patients and their families in Temple, Texas.

You will assess spiritual needs, offer counseling, and facilitate visits by clergy or pastoral counselors to support patients and families. The role requires collaboration as a core member of the Interdisciplinary Group/Team (IDG/IDT), bringing empathy, cultural sensitivity, and strong interpersonal skills to a patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Spiritual care experience in healthcare or hospice settings preferred.
• Master of Divinity or equivalent theological degree required/strongly preferred.
• Experience in religious organization or denomination.
• 1 year chaplain experience in health care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care in the home to terminally ill patients and their families.
• Assess spiritual needs and provide counseling to meet those needs.
• Facilitate visits by local clergy or pastoral counselors to support spiritual needs.
• Participate as a core member of the Interdisciplinary Group/Team (IDG/IDT).

Position Summary

Primary function is to provide spiritual care in the home to terminally ill patients and their families To provide an assessment of the patients and familys spiritual needs and to provide counseling to meet those needs Makes reasonable efforts to facilitate visits by local clergy pastoral counselors or other individuals who can support the patients spiritual needs Participates as a core member of the Interdisciplinary GroupTeam IDGIDT

Qualifications

• In good standing with denomination or religious affiliation
• College degree preferred; Master of Divinity preferred
• Experience in a spiritual or religious organization
• One 1 year experience as a Chaplain in a health care institution preferred
• Working knowledge of community spiritual resources
• Good interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation
• Valid drivers license auto liability insurance
