Job summary

Three Oaks Hospice, Inc. is seeking a chaplain to provide in-home spiritual care for terminally ill patients and families. You will assess spiritual needs, offer counseling, and coordinate with clergy and pastoral support to meet those needs.

The role requires collaboration as a core IDG/IDT member, with emphasis on compassionate care, ethics, and holistic support within a hospice setting.

Qualifications

• In good standing with denomination or religious affiliation.
• College degree preferred; Master of Divinity preferred.
• Experience in a spiritual or religious organization.
• One year experience as a Chaplain in a health care institution preferred.
• Working knowledge of community spiritual resources.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid drivers license; auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care in the home to terminally ill patients and their families; assess spiritual needs and provide counseling to meet those needs.
• Facilitate visits by local clergy, pastoral counselors, or others who can support spiritual needs.
• Participate as a core member of the Interdisciplinary Group/Team (IDG/IDT).
