Join our Team

We are excited to add a Hospice Chaplain to our team. We seek individuals who can enrich our patient-centric environment with their unique blend of empathy, compassion, and deep understanding of spiritual and emotional needs during the end-of-life journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provides and maintains a record of direct spiritual care to patients and their families or caregivers.
  2. Provides consultation, education, and support to the interdisciplinary group on spiritual care.
  3. Provides funeral or memorial services for patients as requested.
  4. Actively participates in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities.
  5. Communicates with community chaplains, spiritual counselors, and spiritual care volunteers to meet patient and family or caregiver needs.

Key Qualifications:

  1. Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology (BD, MDiv, or equivalent theological degree). Experience working with death, dying, and grief support is preferred.
  2. Ability to work harmoniously as a member of an interdisciplinary group.
  3. Comfort in an interfaith setting and respect for different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values.
  4. Strong community networking skills with clergy and congregations.
  5. Commitment to the hospice philosophy of care.
  6. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.

We encourage a flexible onboarding schedule and welcome all queries throughout the training period. After the first month, you'll be ready to manage your patients independently.
