PRN Hospice Chaplain

Location: Grenada, MS Department: Supportive Services

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide and document spiritual care to patients and families.
  • Consult, educate, and support the interdisciplinary team on spiritual matters.
  • Conduct funeral or memorial services as requested.
  • Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement activities.
  • Coordinate with community chaplains, spiritual counselors, and volunteers to meet patient needs.
Key Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited seminary or theological school (BD, MDiv, or equivalent). Experience with death, dying, and grief support is preferred.
  • Ability to work harmoniously within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Comfortable in an interfaith setting, respecting diverse lifestyles and beliefs.
  • Strong networking skills with clergy and congregations.
  • Commitment to hospice philosophy of care.
  • Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, and good driving record.
