HopeHealth, in Providence, RI, seeks an experienced Chaplain to join an interdisciplinary team delivering spiritual care to patients, families and staff. This full-time role is 40 hours per week with on-call, weekend and holiday commitments.

The chaplain provides assessment and ongoing spiritual care, develops care plans, conducts services, and supports patients of diverse beliefs. Requires a Master’s in religious or theological studies, 2 CPE units, and 1–3 years’ (3–5 for Senior Chaplain) of

Competenze

• Master's degree in religious or theological studies required.
• Minimum of 2 CPE units or equivalent training/experience.
• 1–3 years' chaplain experience; 3–5 years for Senior Chaplain.
• Comfortable with prayer in an interfaith environment and respectful of all beliefs.

Mansioni

• Provides spiritual/pastoral assessment within five days of admission.
• Delivers spiritual/pastoral care per patient wishes and needs.
• Develops individualized spiritual care plans with patients/families.
• Conducts services of prayer, worship and rituals as appropriate.
• Documents counseling and interventions in the clinical record.
• Collaborates with Interdisciplinary Teams to meet patient/family needs.
• Facilitates linkage to community clergy or faith leaders.
• Participates in team meetings and organizational activities.
• Works with Bereavement to plan memorial services.
