Job summary

Victory Hospice Durant is seeking a full-time Chaplain to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff. You will collaborate with community clergy and volunteers to enhance spiritual care services in a hospice setting.

Responsibilities include conducting spiritual assessments, counseling, advance directive planning, and updating the care plan with the interdisciplinary team. Travel and confidentiality are required, with strong communication and ethical practice

Qualifications

• Education: College degree preferred in Theology or related field; Master of Divinity preferred.
• Experience: hospice, palliative care, or healthcare setting preferred.
• License: CPR; driver's license and proof of auto liability.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with community clergy and volunteers to enhance spiritual care.
• Conduct spiritual assessments and counseling respecting beliefs.
• Document interventions and update care plans as needed.
• Coordinate with IDT and participate in discharge and bereavement planning.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policy and regulatory guidelines.
