Bristol Hospice is seeking an experienced Hospice Chaplain to meet patients and families through spiritual assessments and tailored care, working closely with the interdisciplinary team in Colorado Springs, CO 80920.

Responsibilities include developing individualized care plans, providing direct spiritual support, and coordinating with community chaplains. The role requires travel to hospice locations and flexible hours, with a starting hourly rate of $28–$32.

Qualifications

• Seminary or school of theology degree preferred.
• Experience working with death and dying, individuals/family/caregiver.
• Hospice experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and EMR systems.
• Willingness to travel to hospice locations and flexible with hours.

Responsibilities

• Conduct spiritual assessments of patients and families in the hospice program and ensure timely services.
• Contribute to the plan of care through comprehensive spiritual assessments.
• Provide direct spiritual care to patients and families/caregivers.
• Liaise with community chaplains and spiritual counselors.
• Maintain records of spiritual care services for QA and program development.
• Attend patient care conferences as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide consultation and education on spiritual care to the team.
• Recruit community chaplains and volunteers to meet patient needs.
