Job summary

Three Oaks Hospice in Texas is seeking a Chaplain to provide in-home spiritual care to terminally ill patients and families. The role includes assessing needs and offering counseling, with coordination of visits by clergy or pastoral counselors.

You will be a core member of the IDG/IDT, collaborating with the care team to deliver compassionate end-of-life support. A Master of Divinity is preferred and hospice chaplain experience is valued.

Qualifications

• In good standing with denomination or religious affiliation. Master of Divinity preferred.
• One year of experience as a Chaplain in health care preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills and knowledge of community spiritual resources.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home spiritual care to terminally ill patients and families.
• Assess spiritual needs and provide counseling accordingly.
• Facilitate visits by clergy or pastoral counselors to support spiritual needs.
• Participate as a core member of the Interdisciplinary Group/Team (IDG/IDT).

Qualifications:

• In good standing with denomination or religious affiliation College degree preferred; Master of Divinity preferred
• Experience in a spiritual or religious organization. One (1) year experience as a Chaplain in a health care institution preferred.
• Working knowledge of community spiritual resources. Good interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation. Valid driver’s license auto liability insurance.
