Job summary

Everwind Hospice is seeking a dedicated Hospice CNA to support patients in their homes or care facilities. You will assist with daily activities and provide compassionate companionship under RN supervision.

The role emphasizes comfort, dignity, and quality of life at end-of-life, with a team focused on presence, empathy, and tailored care plans for each patient and family.

Qualifications

• Wyoming CNA certification required.
• Minimum 1 year CNA/hospice or palliative care experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding).
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to patients and families.
• Monitor and report changes in patients’ condition to the hospice team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
• Document care provided per agency procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Support the hospice philosophy of care, focusing on comfort over cure.

Position Summary:

As a Hospice CNA, you will provide essential personal care and support services to patients in their homes or in facility settings. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, your role is vital in promoting comfort, dignity, and quality of life during end-of-life care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to patients and families
• Monitor and report changes in patients’ condition to the hospice team
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment
• Document care provided in accordance with agency procedures and regulatory guidelines
• Support the hospice philosophy of care, focusing on comfort rather than cure

Qualifications:

• Active CNA certification in Wyoming.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a CNA, hospice or palliative care preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with empathy, patience, and respect for patients and families
