Job summary

Everwind Hospice in Billings, MT is seeking a compassionate PRN Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide personal care to patients in their homes, assisted living communities, and skilled nursing facilities. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life, observe changes, document care, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.

This PRN role offers flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursement, and the opportunity to help build a new hospice

Qualifications

• Current Montana CNA certification in good standing.
• Minimum of one year CNA experience; hospice/home health/long-term care/palliative care preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and auto insurance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Commitment to dignity, empathy, and respect for patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, skin care, mobility assistance.
• Assist with activities of daily living, promoting comfort, independence, and dignity.
• Observe and report changes to supervising nurse.
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to patients and families.
• Maintain a clean, safe, comfortable environment for patients.
• Document care accurately and timely in the EMR.
• Follow care plans and hospice philosophy focused on comfort and patient choice.
• Communicate effectively with the hospice team.

Position Summary

Everwind Hospice is seeking a compassionate PRN Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide personal care and supportive services to hospice patients in their homes, assisted living communities, and skilled nursing facilities. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and as part of an interdisciplinary team, you will help promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients facing a life-limiting illness.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, skin care, and mobility assistance.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living while promoting comfort, independence, and dignity.
• Observe and report changes in patients' physical, emotional, or environmental conditions to the supervising nurse.
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
• Document care provided accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Follow the individualized plan of care and hospice philosophy, focusing on comfort, quality of life, and patient choice.
• Communicate effectively with members of the interdisciplinary hospice team.

Qualifications

• Current Montana Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of CNA experience required; hospice, home health, long-term care, or palliative care experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
