Valley Health System in Paramus, NJ, is seeking a Hospice Operations Supervisor to oversee the Hospice Team's clinical operations, referrals processing, scheduling (including weekends), and staff supervision at Kraft Center. Requirements include NLN-accredited nursing education, BSN preferred, NJ RN/LPN license, CPR, and at least 3 years' hospice/community health experience with supervisory duties.

POSITION SUMMARY:To oversee and coordinate the overall clinical operations, functions, and activities of the Hospice Team to include, but not limited to ensuring efficient processing of referrals, evaluating services, handling scheduling to include weekend scheduling, and supervising assigned staff.EDUCATION:Graduate from a NLN accredited School of Nursing. BSN from a NLN accredited school preferred.EXPERIENCE:At least three (3) years' experience as an LPN or RN in Hospice/ or community health. Supervisory experience preferred.SPECIAL SKILLS:Current State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing). CPR (BCLS) Certification required. Demonstrates effective interaction and communication (oral, writing, presenting) skills. Effective organization skills and ability to perform work accurately and pay attention to details, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to function competently in stressful situations and a changing work environment related to changing patient needs, including working with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes, and those who are dying. Ability to work cooperatively within the health-system; with patients and family members; and with multidisciplinary team members (i.e., physicians, Rehab, Lab, etc.). Ability to utilize effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations. Ability to use critical thinking.Current and valid driver's license, registration, inspection sticker and appropriate level of insurance coverage required, to include collision.
