Dhillon Healthcare Group is seeking a dynamic team player for our billing team as a Medical Billing Authorizations Specialist. You will oversee hospice claims, denials, and collections while serving as a backup for home health authorizations and SNF liaison duties.

Qualifications

• Two years of health care data entry experience, hospice care preferred.
• At least one year of healthcare-related authorization experience, home health billing preferred.
• Ability to operate IBM-compatible systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversees claims, denials, and collections for Hospice agencies, providing backup support for Home Health agencies.
• Verify hospice eligibility and serve as backup for authorizations for Home Health.
• Act as the Skilled Nursing Facility Liaison for Seva Hospice, verifying SNF claims and patient information.
• Maintain an updated manual with processing eligibility and authorization requirements for each payor/portal.
• Obtain acceptance of financial responsibility for external provider claims and reprice to Medicare rates, then submit to accounting.
• Provide insurance education and support to Hospice and Home Health Clinical/Intake Teams.
• Communicate professionally with staff, payors, vendors, and patients.
• Foster a positive, collaborative environment across clinical, intake, billing, and authorization teams.
