Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. is seeking a Bereavement Coordinator to support end-of-life care within its Home Health and Hospice teams in Morristown, TN. This part-time role focuses on managing bereavement services, developing programs, and guiding staff and volunteers.

Ideal candidates will have an LCSW, solid hospice experience, and strong crisis response skills, with access to reliable transportation for community travel.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited institution of social work, preferred.
• At least two (2) years of experience in a healthcare or hospice setting, preferred.
• Must have experience or education in grief or loss counseling.
• The ability to drive and/or have access to transportation for agency related travel is essential.
• LCSW REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Manages the bereavement services program utilizing professional staff and volunteers.
• Oversees adequacy and appropriateness of bereavement programs for patients and family members.
• Develops new bereavement programs and services as needed.
• Develops educational programs and materials for patients, families, staff, and the community regarding loss, grief, and coping with bereavement.
• Plans, implements, and supervises bereavement group events.
• Oversees the bereavement follow-up by patient care staff and volunteers.
