Cherish Hospice in Northern Indiana seeks an Associate Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and physician oversight, shaping the quality of hospice care across the region. You will collaborate with the Medical Director and an interdisciplinary team to set standards for patient-centered care in homes, facilities, and hospitals.

The role requires Indiana licensure, board certification, DEA registration, and hospice experience.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Indiana Medical License (MD or DO).
• Board Certification in a relevant specialty.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Current DEA registration.
• 1+ years hospice or palliative care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and physician oversight across Northern Indiana.
• Certify and recertify terminal prognosis and participate in interdisciplinary group (IDG) meetings.
• Provide guidance on pain and symptom management and care plans.
• Build trusting relationships with patients, families, and referring physicians.
• Support regulatory and documentation standards that keep the agency's clinical care above reproach.
• Mentor and collaborate with hospice staff to build clinical judgment and confidence.

Required Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Indiana Medical License (MD or DO)
• Board Certification in a relevant specialty

• 1+ years hospice or palliative care experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hospice and Palliative Medicine (HPM) Board Certification
• Prior experience in a hospice medical director or associate medical director role
