As a Hospice Aide/STNA, your responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to the Administrator, Executive Director, or Patient Care Manager, and working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse or Clinical Supervisor
  • Assisting patients with personal hygiene and maintaining a safe environment
  • Preparing and serving light meals, assisting with feeding, and ambulation
  • Supporting the safe use of mobility aids
  • Performing light housekeeping and certain treatments as ordered
  • Promoting mental alertness and providing emotional support
  • Reporting changes in patient condition to the team
  • Practicing infection control and documenting visits accurately
  • Participating in staff meetings and quality improvement activities
About You

Requirements for Hospice Aide/STNA:

  • Compassionate, kind, and empathetic nature
  • Comfortable providing care in a home setting
  • Flexibility and composure in crises
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
  • At least 6 months of patient care experience (preferred)
  • Current driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Current CPR certification

Salary Range: $14.20 - $16.75. Compensation varies based on location, experience, education, skills, and certifications.
