Job summary

Corus Health in Albuquerque seeks a Certified Nurse Assistant to provide hands-on hospice care at Laguna Rainbow Elder Care Center. You will deliver compassionate support to residents and families, following each patient’s plan of care under licensed nurse supervision.

Ideal candidates hold NM CNA certification, completed Nurse Aide Training, and have strong communication, patience, and reliability. Hospice/home health experience is a plus, with transportation and a valid driver's license

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Aide Certification in NM.
• Completion of a state-approved Nurse Aide Training program.
• At least 1 year of experience preferred; hospice/home health is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care according to each patient’s plan of care under RN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, feeding).
• Measure and record vital signs (temp, pulse, resp, BP).
• Observe changes in condition and report promptly to supervising staff.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and positioning for comfort and safety.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation of care provided.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and families.

About the Role

As a Certified Nurse Assistant with Corus Health in Albuquerque, you'll provide hands‑on hospice care to residents of Laguna Rainbow Elder Care Center, bringing dignity, comfort, and steady support to patients and families during one of life's most meaningful chapters. This role is a great fit for CNAs who live near Laguna Rainbow and want consistent, community‑based work close to home.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services in accordance with each patient's plan of care, under the supervision of a licensed nurse
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, and feeding
• Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
• Observe and promptly report changes in patient condition or care needs to supervising staff
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and positioning to promote comfort and safety
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided in the EMR
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families

What We're Looking For

• Current certification as a Nurse Aide in the state of New Mexico
• Completion of a state‑approved Nurse Aide Training program
• At least one year of experience preferred; hospice or home health experience a plus
• Someone who brings compassion, patience, and steadiness to every interaction
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and care teams
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• CNAs living near Laguna Rainbow Elder Care Center are especially encouraged to apply
