Job summary

Interim HealthCare Hospice in Lawrence, Kansas is hiring a Hospice Aide in a full‑time role to provide compassionate in‑home care for patients and families during this season of life.

Qualifications

• CNA license required in Kansas.
• Valid Kansas driver’s license and transportation.
• 6 months healthcare experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Compassionate and good communicator; able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as bathing, oral and skin care.
• Assist in dressing and undressing patients.
• Assist in feeding patients.
• Take and record temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises.
• Ensure a safe home environment with clear pathways.

As a Hospice Aide, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Providing personal care: bathing, oral hygiene, hair care and skin care
• Assist in dressing and undressing patients
• Assisting in feeding the patient
• Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pules, respiration and blood pressure
• Assisting in ambulation, transfers and/or range of motion exercises
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways

A few must-haves for our Private Duty Companions:

• CNA License (Kansas)
• Valid Kansas driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• CPR certification
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
