Job summary

Mission Hospice & Home Care in California is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide personal care services to our patients. The role supports comfort, dignity, and daily living activities within the San Mateo area.

You will assist with bathing, mobility, and linen changes, under the supervision of our caregiving team. Must hold an HHA license and a valid CA driver's license to support patient visits.

Qualifications

• Must have an HHA license in California.
• Current California driver’s license and auto insurance if driving.
• Completion of an approved HHA training program.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient in bathing, care of mouth, skin, and hair as needed.
• Assist patient in and out of bed and with ambulation.
• Turn patient in bed, position for comfort, and change bed linen.
• Assist with prescribed exercises as directed.

Founded in 1979, we are a local, independent nonprofit that has provided thousands of patients and their families with physical, emotional, and spiritual support throughout the journey from a life-threatening diagnosis through death and bereavement.

We are currently seeking a Hospice Aide to provide personal care services to our hospice patients.

Schedule

5 days per week; 7:30am - 3:30pm

Location

San Mateo & Santa Clara County

• MUST HAVE HHA LICENSE*

Mission Hospice & Home Care follows all CDPH vaccine requirements for healthcare personnel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Assist patient in bathing, care of mouth, skin, and hair as needed.
• Assist patient in and out of bed and with ambulation.
• Turn patient in bed, position for comfort, and change bed linen.
• Assist with prescribed exercises as directed.

Education/Experience

• Completion of an approved Home Health Aide (HHA) training program. HOME CARE AIDE (HCA) CERTIFICATION IS NOT ACCEPTED.
• Completion of an approved Home Health Aide training program.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Current certification to practice as a Home Health Aide in the State of California.
• Current California Driver’s License and automobile insurance that meets State of California requirements, if driving a car.

Pay Range

$26.30 - $31.00 hourly
