Job summary

By The Bay Health in San Francisco is seeking a full-time Hospice Aide to provide compassionate personal care to our hospice patients.

Requirements include completion of an approved Home Health Aide training program and a valid HHA license; California Driver’s License preferred if driving. We follow CDPH vaccine requirements and offer a car lending program, company-paid rideshares, competitive pay and generous benefits in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• HHA license required to work as Hospice Aide.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient in bathing, care of mouth, skin, and hair as needed.

Our spectrum of home-based services now includes Skilled Home Health Care, Palliative Care, Adult Hospice Care and Pediatric Care. Our team approach strives to address practical, social, emotional and spiritual aspects of care, with the goal to maximize quality of life for our patients, caregivers and families.

We are currently seeking a full time Hospice Aide to provide personal care services to our hospice patients.

Schedule

5 days a week, must be available to work weekends; 8:30am – 5:00pm; start times are flexible

Location

**MUST HAVE HHA LICENSE**

By the Bay Health follows all CDPH vaccine requirements for healthcare personnel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include

• Assist patient in bathing, care of mouth, skin, and hair as needed
• Assist patient in and out of bed and with ambulation
• Turn patient in bed, position for comfort, and change bed linen
• Assist with prescribed exercises as directed

Education/Experience

• Completion of an approved Home Health Aide training program.
• Experience in hospice or home health preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Completion of an approved Home Health Aide (HHA) training program. HOME CARE AIDE (HCA) CERTIFICATION IS NOT ACCEPTED.
• Current California Driver’s License and automobile insurance that meets State of California requirements, if driving a car.

Pay Range

$26.30 – $31.00 hourly
